Keith Wayne Stacks

1943 – 1997

 

Keith Wayne Stacks, 54, of 1995 Roland Williams Road, died Sunday July 20, 1997.

Born in Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Frank and Estelle Alice Sowell Stacks, and was married to Myra Williams Stacks.  He was an employee of Springs Industries Customer Service Center, chief of the Camp Creek Fire Department and a member of Camp Creek Mason Lodge No. 317 and Zion United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife;  two daughters, Mrs. Tony (Kimberly) Yost and  Mrs. Tony (Susan) Broughton, both of Lancaster,  four brothers, Robert F. Stacks, Ira A. Stacks and Donald G. Stacks, all of Lancaster, and Mickey H. Stacks of Columbia,  three sisters, Evelyn Hunter and Sybil Carter, both of Lancaster, and Sharon Guild of Clearwater, Fla.;  and two grandchildren.

Services were 4 p.m. Tuesday at Zion United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Frank Lybrand, with burial in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 1665 Zion Road, Lancaster, S.C. 20720.

Mahaffey Funeral Home was in charge.

Another buddy from early days at McDonald Green, Keith was my "best friend" for a while. I remember clearly that my Aunt Betty was happy to hear that Keith and I were good friends. The Stacks were her neighbors, and she told me what a nice youngster he was. He grew to be a fine young man, making his family proud.
