Mac was  another lifelong friend I met playing baseball. I am sure we were not as good as we thought we were, but we were pretty good and always very competitive. I played lots of baseball with lots of guys. I don't recall anyone who hated to lose more than Mac.  Mac simply did not ever plan to lose. Quick military story--Mac had great fun in 1966 as a Marine when I tried to "run the gate"at Charleston Naval Base as a Midshipman. At that time, Mac was THE MARINE, not my old LSHS Classmate and baseball buddy.
