Mrs. Susan Patricia Clark Plyler, 67, of Lancaster, wife of Ray Von Plyler, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at her home. She was born March 13, 1946 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late John Thomas Clark, Jr. and Alma Robinson Clark. Mrs. Plyler was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church. She was a member of the Mill Hill Association and the Blue Hurricane Club. Mrs. Plyler was a loving wife of 45 years, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. After retiring from Springs Industries, she ran Multiple Listing Service and Lancaster Secretarial Services.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Plyler will be held Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 2 pm at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Trent McLaughlin and Rev. Patrick Clark officiating.

Mrs. Plyler is survived by her husband, Ray Plyler; a daughter, Amber Michelle Plyler Gray and her husband Larry Gray of Lancaster; three brothers, John Thomas Clark, III and his wife Royce, Joe Clark and his wife Elfreda all of Lancaster and Mike Clark and his wife Linda of Lake Wateree; a sister, Fran Hatch of Newberry; and a grandson, Andrew Plyler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Alexander Plyler.

The family will receive friends following the service at Antioch Baptist Church and other times at the home, 3290 Flat Creek Road, Lancaster, SC.
