Richard joined us during our Junior Year. Miss Gladys Robinson asked me to spend Study Hall one-on-one with Richard for several months.  I was not sure why, but I always did what Miss Gladys "asked". (That is also how I ended up in the Navy.) Richard always came ready to share his thoughts and ideas. I probably learned a lot more from him than he learned from me. Richard was a very bright young man. Those times with Richard provided fond memories. I regret that we lost our connection after graduation.
