Ronnie Alan Queen, Sr

September 23, 1942 – February 26, 2009

 

Ronnie Alan Queen, Sr., 66, died Thursday, February 26, 2009.

Born September 23, 1942 in Gastonia, N.C., he was the son of  Lois Jackson Queen and the late W. J. Queen.  He was married to Linda Wood Queen.  He was the retired owner of Ronnie Queen Ford, which he operated for 20 years.  He was a Mason with Jackson Masonic Lodge, a Shriner with Hejaz Shrine Temple, a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his mother of Lancaster; his wife; a son, Ronnie A. “Skip” Queen and his wife, Elizabeth, of  Lipan, Texas;  a daughter, Deana Queen-Gasque and her husband, Michael, of Lancaster; a brother, Danny Queen of Gaffney;  two sisters, Penny Q. Ribelin of Lancaster and the Rev. Dr. Kandy Queen-Sutherland of Deland, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Chance Gasque, Elliott Queen, Ali Gasque and Katherine Queen.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, conducted by the Revs. Marie Nuckles and Dr. Kandy Queen-Sutherland; with burial in Lancaster Memorial Park.
