Children/Grandchildren: James Brent McCants, York County Deputy Sheriff, killed on September 25, 1992 in the line of duty at age 23. William (Billy) Dale McCants suffered severe head trauma in an auto accident in November 1988 at the age 17; I took care of him at home until recently.

Favorite Memory of High School: About five of us in a car in the parking lot sharing a cigarette until someone yelled "Here comes Hawkeye!", and then all of us flying out of the car running. Mrs. Robinson saying "Do your best in life and be true to yourself.", and "In 50 years your grandchildren will fly from the school with jet packs on their back. What a beautiful future."
