Hobbies/Interests: Hiking, pickleball, reading,running, travel, wine. I lead a hiking group and am an assistant for pickleball classes.

Published a Book? (Name): No books, but Master’s thesis was published, papers and presentations have been published in various proceedings.

Favorite Books/Authors: Current favorite authors are James Lee Burke, Ken Follett, and Lee Child. Especially liked Ken Follett's "World Without End". Also C.J. Box and Steve Martini.

Favorite Songs/Musicians: Different favorites over the past 45 years. Musicals such as “Sound of Music”, “My Fair Lady”, “Cabaret” and several songs by Liza Minnelli, Enya, Sarah Brightman, Harry Connick Jr., Frank Sinatra, 60s music and even 50s music.

Favorite Movies: Classics such as “The Wizard of Oz”,  “Gone with the Wind”, “North by Northwest”, “The Day the Earth Stood Still” (1950s original), “Forbidden Planet”, “2001: A Space Odyssey” and others less well known such as “A Man and a Woman” and “The Sterile Cuckoo”. 

Best Vacation Ever: Hopefully always the NEXT vacation, but there are several that were really good such as the one in Germany and Austria in ’87, the one to Hawaii, Canadian Rockies, all around Oregon, Alaska, and southern France, Also, just some easy, relaxing ones in the mountains or at the beach, and since retiring we have returned to New Orleans each spring to stay a month at a friend's condo.

Favorite Memory of High School: Friday night football games and gathering at the “Youth Center” afterwards, the “Pit Stop” and driving the loop between it and the “Motor-In”, exploring all the back roads of Lancaster County with Rick Miller and Charlie Benton. Tennis games behind Rick Porter’s house.

Proudest Moments of My Life: My son’s birth, his HS and college graduations and earning his CPA.  Also putting together the documentation and going through the process to get an honor awarded posthumously to my father.

Things I Would Like My Classmates to Know:  In my job as a DP and Communications Manager for Lykes Bros. Steamship Co. I traveled all over the world. We lived in New Orleans and Louisiana for over 25 years. We lived in Fort Mill for 15 years and are now really enjoying retirement and living on Lake Keowee.
