Ms. June Alana Ghent Newton, 77, of Lancaster passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Lancaster Health & Rehabilitation after a 37 year battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was born August 24, 1946 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Leroy Ghent and Olive Caskey Ghent.

Ms. Newton is survived by two daughters, Catherine Viglione (Michael), and Julia Blakley (Robert Blackmon); four grandchildren, Michael Viglione, Jr., Anthony Viglione, Josie Rae Mobley, and Seth Mobley; a great grandchild, Michael Viglione, III.

Ms. Newton is preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Paulina McManus and Mary Frances McManus.

The family will be having a private memorial service at a later date.
