Ralph Edward Johnson
April 25, 1944 - February 2, 2025
Mr. Ralph Edward Johnson, Sr., 80, of Oxford, widower of Mary Linda Threatt Johnson, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025. He was born April 25, 1944 in Kannapolis, a son of the late Nathan Johnson and Elsie Sellers Smith. Mr. Johnson was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. In his free time, he loved to fish.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Johnson will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Anglin and Rev. Frank Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his son, Brian K. Johnson and his wife Jaime of Oxford, NC; a brother, Thomas “Gene” Johnson and his wife Pat of Simpsonville, SC; a sister, Dianne Mackey of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Brianna Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Bridget Johnson, Katherine Johnson, Wyatt Johnson, and Haley Sims; and a daughter-in-law, Lorri Johnson. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Ralph Edward “Eddie” Johnson, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Bethel Baptist Church.
