Robert Laverne Bradley

April 14, 1946 - October 10, 2024

 

LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Robert Laverne Bradley, age 78, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024. He was born April 14, 1946, in Lancaster, SC, son of the late William Levi Bradley and Carrie Kennington Bradley and was the husband of Nancy Neal Bradley. Mr. Bradley had a passion for computers and technology and worked his entire career in that field.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Mr. Bradley was an avid golfer and member of the Lancaster Golf Club where he was a former club champion.  Family was very important to him, and he loved spending as much time with them as he could. He also enjoyed grilling and barbecuing. Mr. Bradley was a very active member of Douglas Presbyterian Church where he also served as an Elder. 

Mr. Bradley is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy Bradley; son, Michael Gregory Bradley; brothers-in-law, Cecil Ghent and Mickey Neal; two nieces, Darlene Dabney (Norman) and Denise Cubbedge (Barry); four great nephews, Dalton Starnes (Katie), Croft Cubbedge, Eddie Cubbedge, and Brad Ghent; and one great niece, Lauren Van Scoyoc (Eric).

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James “Jimmy” Bradley; and two sisters, Frances Ghent and Sue Threatt. 

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Bradley will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Douglas Presbyterian Church officiated by Pastor Rob Jones. Internment will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, in the church fellowship hall.
