Teresa Sisson Redford, 76, of Cartersville, VA went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 2, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.  She left this earth for her heavenly home, surrounded by those that loved her most, her children, her husband and her fur-baby, Elijah.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas "TJ" and Irene Ray; sister, Brenda Steele, nephew Richard Steele, Jr. and niece, Celeste Vinson.  She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 30 years, Wesley ("Ricky") Redford, children, Ronald Sisson (Jan) and Angela Meadows (Chris); grandchildren, Andrew Linegar, Kayla Sisson and Amanda Meadows; sister, Vickie Harris (Tommy).  She also leaves behind her many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and her special "bonus family" through marriage Jeremy & Robin Redford and children (Harper, Dylan and Levi); Kimberly & Eddy Kitchen and children (Shelton and Stella) and Krissy Balzer and children (Drew, Haley, Delaney).

Teresa was an incredible spirit-filled woman, who touched the lives of everyone around her, forever making an impact on their hearts.  Her family was always the most important part of her life, especially her granddaughters and her passion for impacting youth and leading them to Christ began with them.  She continued that passion by creating a "Leaders in Training" program at her church, Passion Community Church, where she poured into children and youth for many years.  

She loved and served the Lord until her last breath.  Her light and legacy will continue to shine through all the lives she touched.  

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 8th from 6:00-8:00pm at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home in Powhatan.   A Celebration of the life for Teresa will be held Thursday, March 9th at 11:30am at Passion Community Church, Powhatan Campus, reception to follow.
